Buy Buy for Baby Maddie

This weekend was an exciting one in the Fryer household: Baby Furniture shopping!! Josh's mother came up for the weekend to help us decide on Madelyn's baby furniture. She also helped me deep clean my house, which was AWESOME! Jackie has made the comment that she lives to clean, and goodness she is great at it. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful mother in-law that will drive 3 and half hours and get right to cleaning a home that doesn't belong to her. When Josh arrived home from work Friday this is what the house looked like:
Carpets cleaned- check!

Everything out of Madelyn's room, so it can be deep cleaned.

I would like to think that we're "clean" people, but when you actually "clean, clean" you realize that there are places you don't get to in your everyday cleaning. Now that Maddie's coming I feel like I need to be one of those Danny Tanner moms that follow behind everyone with Windex and a cleaning cloth. Let's see how long that feeling lasts.

So back to what I was originally talking about: baby furniture. We new the color we wanted and what pieces, but that was about it. So off we went to Birmingham. After 3 stores and lunch at PF Changs we made our purchase!!

Such a tough decision!

Love this store!

The mother load of baby stores!!

It was a somewhat painless process. There were a few moments of, "Geez can you make a decision," or "What do you think?" and even one or two "Are you sure this is the one you want?" I am happy to check this off our "to-do" list.

School starts back this week. Please say a prayer for me as I begin my journey in 4th grade. I am a little worried about having enough energy to keep up with these kiddos all day.

Week 24

How far along? 24 Weeks
Total weight gain: I don't want to know.
Maternity clothes? Wore my first pair of pregnancy leggings this week....AMAZING!!  I felt like Joey on Friends in his "Holiday Pants."

Stretch marks? Not yet, but Josh and I have notice that lovely brown/black line from the belly button down. Not too crazy about this, but it's part of pregnancy.
Sleep: This week has been tough. Since school is starting this upcoming week I have laid awake at night thinking of all the things that need to be done.
Best moment this week:  Picking out Maddie's baby
furniture!! Thanks to my mother in-law for helping us decide what to get. The only bummer is we have to wait 4 weeks for it to be delivered. Slowly her room is coming together.
Miss Anything? Being able to put anything in my closet on and it look/fit right.
Movement: Still a night owl. I really hope Josh will be able to feel her soon. As soon as he places his hand on my stomach she stops moving. Sneaky girl!
Food cravings: Still anything sweet. I'm hoping once school starts back I can get into a routine and start to eat better.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still only heartburn after most meals.
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: I had my first bought with my sciatic nerve. It does't hurt as much as it is aggravating.
Belly Button in or out? In-ish
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY
Looking forward to: Getting back into the swing of things. I know once school starts back time will fly by and I can hopefully start to get in a better routine.

Last Day of Summer Freedom!

So in mourning of the last day of my Summer Break I wanted to compile a list of all my favorite things I am going to miss once school starts back! These are in no particular order, enjoy!

1. Sleeping in.
2. Waking up and watching The Today Show.
3. Taking my time to make/eat my breakfast.
4. Wearing a t-shirt, Nike shorts, and flip flops most days.
5. Letting my hair air-dry.
6. Eating lunch whenever I please.
7. Meeting Josh for lunch.
8. Watching my crime shows (Dateline, American Justice, etc.).
9. Keeping up with my recorded shows that Josh calls "trash."
10. Grocery shopping when the crowds are at their minimum.
11. Having the time to wash my clothes during the day and not on the weekend or at night after school.
12. Going to work in my classroom when and however long I wanted to.
13. Spending time with Bouncer and Shadow.
14. Not having to put on make-up.
15. Not having to put on a bra, if I didn't want to.
16. Staying up late to watch Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon.
17. Having a designated "cleaning day" of my choice.
18. Spending countless hours in TJ Maxx, Target, etc.
19. Going to the gym when I choose (although I haven't been that much this summer).
20. Napping.

Now I am sure as post this I will think of 10 more things that I will miss, but you get the gist of what I'm saying. And I know that each one of you identify with something on this list.

I realized very soon that this would be the last summer I would spend "alone." Next summer I will have Maddie with me to entertain/ keep me very busy.

I have enjoyed you so much Summer Break!!

Guess Who's Back....Again!?!?

I really love the idea of keeping up a blog, but the reality of doing it is another thing! So as Josh and I start this new chapter in our lives I really want to try and document it as much as possible.

Moving is for the birds...

Good Afternoon, oh and ROLL TIDE ROLL!!

That's right the Alabama Crimson Tide will be playing for their 15th National Championship tonight! Whoop Whoop! My only wish is that my dad could see how awesome the Tide is! I also wouldn't mind being in the 85 degree Miami weather watching the game! And the reason we can't be there is because WE ARE MOVING!!

Sold after 4 days! We were so lucky!

Yes I am proud to announce that the house above will become the Fryers' next home in about 2 weeks! As I said above our house now sold in 4 days. Right after Thanksgiving we met with our real estate agent who told us that during the holidays homes don't usually sell because people are all about the holidays. So Josh and I expected that we would have people come and look in January. Well 2 days later our real estate agent called and had someone interested in looking at our house. We scurried around picking up and making our home look nice and cozy. We really didn't think anything would come from it, but we were still excited that someone was interested. After the lady came and looked at our home for a second time, we decided we would go and look at a home we saw on the internet that looked like something we would be interested in. When we met to look at the home our agent told us that she had an offer on our house!! We were shocked! We expected the house to be on the market until at least Spring!

We then had to go into overdrive and find us a new home! After a couple of homes the one above felt like the perfect place for us. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, big enough for us to start our family (one day soon). Also more for me to clean (a little worried  nervous about).

Our home now looks like the moving tornado has come through. For there to be only 2 people we sure have A LOT of crap  stuff. I love to get rid of stuff (because that means I can get NEW stuff). I will definitely never be called a hoarder!

School starts back for me on Wednesday and I will be busy until moving day/weekend. So everything is pretty much packed up and ready to be moved. Please pray for our sanity and a smooth moving process.

I will be sure to keep you up to date!

Again ROLL TIDE ROLL

New Year, New Blog!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

I hope everyone had an exciting New Years Eve! Here at the Fryers we hung out in our pjs and watched football. I tried out a new Pinterest recipeExciting I know.

We had our "New Years" Saturday night when we went to the Zac Brown Concert. This was the 4th or 5th time we've seen them. Can you say a little obsessed? If you haven't seen them live you are missing out. They put on a great show!

I hope everyone enjoys their New Years Day. Remember to eat your collards (money) and black eye peas (luck). I know we did :)
