28 Weeks!

How far along? 28 Weeks
Total weight gain: I just gave up counting...
Maternity clothes? Yes, all the time!

Stretch marks? None, but my tummy sure is itchy. However Kim K said that if you scratch then you will get stretch marks...See you can learn things from "Keeping Up With The Kards"
Sleep: Still not sleeping past 6:30, but my naps are getting longer and more frequent.
Best moment this week:  We had our first shower this past weekend with our Supper Club group. I am so blessed that we have found a group of friends that are fun and have growing families too. I told Josh the other night that it warms my heart to know Maddie will have a group of friends to grow up with that are close in age.

Miss Anything? Clothes! Nothing fits, looks good, or feels right. I also miss working out! Yes I said it; I miss working out. It made me feel so good afterwards and there's nothing more I can do now except for a short walk.
Movement: She's turn into a morning person since school has started!
Food cravings: Reese cups and cheesecake (see why I'm such a hippo)
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Heartburn
Belly Button in or out? It's barely in.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY
Looking forward to: Josh and I go to birthing class this weekend. I can't wait to see Josh's face when he watches the video. I will be sure to blog about our adventure!

My Saving Grace during Pregnancy!

So the other day someone asked me what have been the essentials since I've been pregnant. There have been 3 things that every pregnant woman should have during this time.

The first thing you HAVE to have is Antacids!! Yes, these things taste like chalk, but they work! I have a bottle of these in my purse, in my desk at school, and by my bedside table. Get some, you'll thank yourself when it's midnight and it feels like your insides are on fire!!

I have a friend who told me about this product. She was later on into her pregnancy and was talking about how much trouble she was having putting lotion on her legs, until she found this. Like sunscreen in a spray can this is lotion. Spray it on, and there you go. You really don't even have to rub it in. This has been a lifesaver for me because 1: It's hard to bend over and rub lotion in, and 2: I was already lazy about putting lotion on and now that I'm pregnant it's gotten worse.

And of course this lotion is great for stretch marks. The same friend who told me about the spray lotion gave me my first tub of Udderly Smooth . I put it on after I get out of the shower and so far, no stretch marks! I've seen this product in Big Lots before, but a Farmer's Co-Op store sells it for sure!

Hope this can help some pregnant woman out.

How far along? 25 Weeks
Total weight gain: So Saturday morning I got on the scale and FREAKED!! I was shocked at what I saw...
Maternity clothes? Maternity pants for sure...However since the weather is warm I'm wearing a lot of dresses.

Stretch marks? I have noticed one or two, but Josh says he doesn't see anything and I'm imagining them.
Sleep: Pretty good. I've been exhausted every night from school, so I'm going to sleep pretty quick.
Best moment this week:  Josh FINALLY felt her move! I was so excited for him :)

Miss Anything? Being able to put anything in my closet on and it look/fit right.
Movement: She moves a little in the morning after breakfast, but most movement at night.
Food cravings: Just cereal, like I have the whole time.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: I'm still having the bought with heartburn.
Belly Button in or out? In-ish

Buy Buy for Baby Maddie

This weekend was an exciting one in the Fryer household: Baby Furniture shopping!! Josh's mother came up for the weekend to help us decide on Madelyn's baby furniture. She also helped me deep clean my house, which was AWESOME! Jackie has made the comment that she lives to clean, and goodness she is great at it. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful mother in-law that will drive 3 and half hours and get right to cleaning a home that doesn't belong to her. When Josh arrived home from work Friday this is what the house looked like:
Carpets cleaned- check!

Everything out of Madelyn's room, so it can be deep cleaned.

I would like to think that we're "clean" people, but when you actually "clean, clean" you realize that there are places you don't get to in your everyday cleaning. Now that Maddie's coming I feel like I need to be one of those Danny Tanner moms that follow behind everyone with Windex and a cleaning cloth. Let's see how long that feeling lasts.

So back to what I was originally talking about: baby furniture. We new the color we wanted and what pieces, but that was about it. So off we went to Birmingham. After 3 stores and lunch at PF Changs we made our purchase!!

Such a tough decision!

Love this store!

The mother load of baby stores!!

It was a somewhat painless process. There were a few moments of, "Geez can you make a decision," or "What do you think?" and even one or two "Are you sure this is the one you want?" I am happy to check this off our "to-do" list.

School starts back this week. Please say a prayer for me as I begin my journey in 4th grade. I am a little worried about having enough energy to keep up with these kiddos all day.

Week 24

How far along? 24 Weeks
Total weight gain: I don't want to know.
Maternity clothes? Wore my first pair of pregnancy leggings this week....AMAZING!!  I felt like Joey on Friends in his "Holiday Pants."

Stretch marks? Not yet, but Josh and I have notice that lovely brown/black line from the belly button down. Not too crazy about this, but it's part of pregnancy.
Sleep: This week has been tough. Since school is starting this upcoming week I have laid awake at night thinking of all the things that need to be done.
Best moment this week:  Picking out Maddie's baby
furniture!! Thanks to my mother in-law for helping us decide what to get. The only bummer is we have to wait 4 weeks for it to be delivered. Slowly her room is coming together.
Miss Anything? Being able to put anything in my closet on and it look/fit right.
Movement: Still a night owl. I really hope Josh will be able to feel her soon. As soon as he places his hand on my stomach she stops moving. Sneaky girl!
Food cravings: Still anything sweet. I'm hoping once school starts back I can get into a routine and start to eat better.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still only heartburn after most meals.
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: I had my first bought with my sciatic nerve. It does't hurt as much as it is aggravating.
Belly Button in or out? In-ish
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY
Looking forward to: Getting back into the swing of things. I know once school starts back time will fly by and I can hopefully start to get in a better routine.

Last Day of Summer Freedom!

So in mourning of the last day of my Summer Break I wanted to compile a list of all my favorite things I am going to miss once school starts back! These are in no particular order, enjoy!

1. Sleeping in.
2. Waking up and watching The Today Show.
3. Taking my time to make/eat my breakfast.
4. Wearing a t-shirt, Nike shorts, and flip flops most days.
5. Letting my hair air-dry.
6. Eating lunch whenever I please.
7. Meeting Josh for lunch.
8. Watching my crime shows (Dateline, American Justice, etc.).
9. Keeping up with my recorded shows that Josh calls "trash."
10. Grocery shopping when the crowds are at their minimum.
11. Having the time to wash my clothes during the day and not on the weekend or at night after school.
12. Going to work in my classroom when and however long I wanted to.
13. Spending time with Bouncer and Shadow.
14. Not having to put on make-up.
15. Not having to put on a bra, if I didn't want to.
16. Staying up late to watch Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon.
17. Having a designated "cleaning day" of my choice.
18. Spending countless hours in TJ Maxx, Target, etc.
19. Going to the gym when I choose (although I haven't been that much this summer).
20. Napping.

Now I am sure as post this I will think of 10 more things that I will miss, but you get the gist of what I'm saying. And I know that each one of you identify with something on this list.

I realized very soon that this would be the last summer I would spend "alone." Next summer I will have Maddie with me to entertain/ keep me very busy.

I have enjoyed you so much Summer Break!!
